Boxing Road to Tokyo 2020
Following the International Olympic Committee's decision to suspend the International Boxing Association (AIBA) in 2019, the Olympic Boxing Task Force (BTF) was created to deliver the sport at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. 5 Continental qualifier events and 1 World qualifier event was scheduled to take place but due to the coronavirus outbreak, only 3 qualifiers were organised (Africa, Asia/Oceania, Europe). The IOC acting as an International Federation required the planning and delivery to provide the Games Management System and database for the management of athletes', technical officials data, the registration to each qualifying event and a team to manage the relationship with National Olympic Committees/National Federations for registration.
What we did
- IGNITX and Wiz-Team partnered up to deliver the full scope of requirements.
- After the initial setup and training by WizTeam on Event-Works, IGNITX handled the database and Games Management System on their own for all events.
- IGNITX's Registration Team managed the relationship with all participating NOCs and provided them with system support.
Results
- Provided system support and managed communications with more than 150 participating NOCs/NFs at the qualifying events.
- Provided system support and managed the registration of International Technical and Officials. (ITO).
- Onsite Accreditation Operations including the management of the Main Accreditation Centre.
