IGNITX Summit 2025: Technology at the Heart of Sports Events
IGNITX is pleased to announce the return of the IGNITX Summit, our bi-annual online event bringing together sport event professionals, innovators, and thought leaders from across the globe. Since its launch in 2021, the Summit has served as a platform for open exchange and collaboration within the sports events industry — addressing emerging trends, sharing expertise, and inspiring new approaches to event delivery.
The 2025 edition will take place across four online sessions on 22, 23, 29, and 30 November, under the theme “Technology at the Heart of Sports Events.”
This year’s programme will explore how technology continues to shape the way we plan, manage, and deliver major sporting events — from AI and data-driven operations to innovative tools improving efficiency and connectivity.
The IGNITX Summit 2025 is open to everyone in the sports industry — from event professionals and organisers to federations, technology providers, and anyone interested in learning how technology is shaping the future of sport events.
In conjunction with the IGNITX Summit 2025 – “Technology at the Heart of Sport Events”, IGNITX in partnership with the International Olympic Academy Participants Association is also organising the AI in Action Workshop. Session 1 – Saturday, 22 November 2025
AI at Work – Transforming the Industry

This session explores the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence on the sports industry. The discussion will begin with an overview of how digital transformation is reshaping the way organisations operate, engage with audiences, and deliver value through data, connectivity, and innovation.
It will then delve into how AI is transforming the workplace, particularly in sports organisations and major events. The conversation will highlight tools such as Microsoft Co-Pilot, automation in operations, and how AI is redefining productivity, collaboration, and decision-making in the sports sector.

With over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity, data governance, and digital transformation, Neha helps organisations integrate AI responsibly and securely. Drawing from her work on Microsoft’s AI and cyber frameworks, she will share how AI and tools like Microsoft Co-Pilot are reshaping the workplace — from enhancing performance and decision-making to improving data security, governance, and accountability in the sports sector.
Session 2 – Sunday, 23 November 2025
Future-Ready Leaders and Smart Solutions: Empowering People and Technology to Shape Tomorrow’s Events

This session bridges the human and technological sides of innovation, exploring how leadership and systems must evolve together to meet the demands of tomorrow’s events. The discussion will focus on how sport and event professionals can develop the agility, mindset, and tools to remain relevant, effective, and resilient in a fast-changing environment.
The session features insights from Gabriela Mueller Mendoza, who will introduce her Future-Ready Playbook with five decisive moves every leader must master to stay agile and centered in a rapidly changing environment, alongside a showcase of IGNITX Solutions, where we will present our iSAY and Extranet platforms with case studies from multi-sport events delivered this year, demonstrating how these tools support smarter planning, stronger coordination, and more efficient event delivery.

Daniela Negreda, MBA Negreda – Business Strategist & Safeguarding Lead, IGNITX
Daniela is a senior strategist with nearly 30 years of experience across global organisations, major events, and social impact programmes. As IGNITX’s Safeguarding Lead, she develops people-centred safeguarding systems and tools, drawing on work across European Youth Olympic Festivals, Paris 2024-linked initiatives, and the EU-funded BESST project.

Power & Responsibility of Data: Balancing Innovation & Integrity

This session examines the full lifecycle of data in sports events — from collecting, to protecting, to analysing — highlighting both its transformative potential and the ethical responsibility it carries. Through case studies and expert discussion, speakers including Wiz-Team, Re.Events and a Data Protection Officer will share how data-driven approaches can improve efficiency, generate insight, and strengthen accountability across event operations.

With a strong background in data science and sports operations, Kevin is pioneering how data transforms event management. At Paris 2024, he led the Games’ data strategy, optimising resource planning and real-time monitoring at the Main Operations Center. His company, Re.Events, now helps the sports industry use data to drive smarter, more efficient operations.
Marie Alessandri, Data Protection Officer
A data protection specialist with over a decade of experience, Marie-Dominique brings deep expertise in privacy, risk management, and compliance. As DPO for the Paris 2024 Organising Committee, she developed robust strategies ensuring the highest standards of GDPR compliance and ethical data use across Games operations.
Moderated by Lambis Konstantinidis, Co-Managing Director of ENA DYO, whose career spans over two decades of Olympic and international event delivery, including his leadership as Executive Director of Planning and Coordination at Paris 2024.
Session 4 – Sunday, 30 November 2025
Technology in Motion: Solving Today’s Operational Challenges

This session brings together IGNITX’s technology collaborators to showcase innovative solutions addressing the real-world challenges faced by today’s event organisers. Through interactive presentations and guided discussion, the session will highlight how EventWheel’s Issue Management System, TPTHub’s Fleet Management Software, and Iventis’s Collaborative Mapping and Planning Platform are transforming operational delivery across major sports events.

With 17 years of experience across the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cups, and EXPO events, Alexei specialises in C4 (Command, Control, Communication & Coordination), stakeholder integration, and operational readiness. He has delivered strategic, operational and readiness projects for major international competitions across the Middle East, Europe and in the US. He is the product owner of EventWheel Incident Management Solution.
The session will be moderated by Stuart Snowden, Founder and Managing Director of IPSEM Squared, who brings over 30 years of experience in strategy, operations, and performance improvement across the Olympic, Commonwealth, and Asian Games, as well as the corporate sector.
AI in Action Workshop – Saturday, 6 December 2025
Organised in conjunction with the IGNITX Summit 2025 – “Technology at the Heart of Sport Events”, this workshop offers a practical, hands-on learning experience designed to equip sport administrators and event managers with the skills to apply AI in their daily work.
