IGNITX Safeguarding Turnkey Solution Successfully Delivered at EYOF Skopje 2025

The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) Skopje 2025 marked the successful implementation of IGNITX’s Safeguarding Turnkey Solution – a comprehensive, real-time safeguarding framework tailored to protect all event participants. For the first time, the newly developed ISAY system was fully integrated into a multisport event, enabling fast access to information, confidential reporting and immediate action on safeguarding concerns when it matters.
At EYOF Skopje 2025, IGNITX ensured that safeguarding went beyond paper promises. Prevention, education, and timely response were treated as essential pillars of delivery. From early planning to on-the-ground execution, safeguarding was embedded into the event — not as a support service, but as a foundational value.
Key achievements included:
✅ 100% compliance from all delegations in appointing a Delegation Safeguarding Point of Contact (DSPC) for EYOF Skopje 2025;
✅ Full deployment and integration of the ISAY system into the official EYOF website;
✅ Safeguarding awareness campaign implemented with posters and printed materials distributed across all non-competition venues, with a focus on delegations, staff, and volunteers;
✅ 77% of young athletes and 81% of coaches/NOC officials confirmed agreement with the Safeguarding Code of Conduct via ISAY system.
✅ 100% of reported cases were managed promptly, with strict confidentiality and full impartiality throughout the process.Education and awareness were cornerstones of the programme, with tailored outreach materials and mandatory acknowledgement of the code of conduct helping to reinforce a culture of safety, respect, and responsibility.
The professionalism demonstrated by IGNITX in the delivery of the safeguarding programme has been truly impressive. Their work has brought safeguarding to life at EYOF – not just as a policy, but as a lived priority.
Throughout the Festival, the ISAY system served as a central hub for all safeguarding-related information and actions. It provided a secure and accessible platform for timely reporting of concerns, while its robust back-end enabled confidential case management — all within a single, integrated system.
A handful of safeguarding reports were submitted. IGNITX oversaw the case management process of the Safeguarding Unit responding promptly and handling every case with confidentiality and procedural fairness:
- Disciplinary Cases: These were managed by the Safeguarding Unit. Impartial provisional measures were implemented, and independent trauma-informed investigators conducted interviews with victims, witnesses, and the accused. A factual dossier was then submitted to the EOC Ethics Commission, which adjudicates and determines any sanctions in accordance with the Framework.
- Criminal Allegations: Cases involving potential criminal conduct were escalated to the OC Security team, who coordinated with local authorities for investigation.
As CEO of the Organising Committee, I witnessed firsthand the importance of having an independent and confidential safeguarding mechanism in place. The structure provided by IGNITX ensured that every report was handled with neutrality, professionalism, and discretion — reinforcing trust and accountability across the event.
The successful rollout of the IGNITX Safeguarding Turnkey Solution at EYOF Skopje 2025 has set a new benchmark for multisport events. From digital tools to rapid response protocols, the project proved that safeguarding can be implemented professionally and effectively.
