IF Safeguarding Workshop
Following the IOC survey of International Federations, the topic of Safeguarding was one of the top rated to be followed up and discussed. The GAISF organized with IGNITX on behalf of the IOC a workshop with recognized and non-recognized IFs.
What we did
- Pre-session video with safeguarding awareness to bring all participants' knowledge of the subject to the same level
- First session with the IFs - participants were separated into groups and assessed their organisations safe sport issues and initiatives
- Second video was distributed in between sessions to prepare participants to the final discussion
- Second workshop session was help to develop the participant's IFs actions and commitments for the implementation of safe sport initiatives
Results
- 57 IFs participates in the workshop
- High engagement from IFs' participants
- Participants rated the workshop 4.22 out of 5
- 87% of participants would like to have future Safeguarding workshops
- Participants enjoyed the relevance of the topic and appreciated the open discussion
