IGNITX is excited to announce a ground-breaking partnership with Signify - a leading ethical data science company - to advance safeguarding initiatives in the global sports industry.

Signify's Threat Matrix service is a world-leader in protecting athletes and officials from online abuse. Using a combination of AI and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques to investigate and report abusive content to platforms, the service triages the most severe cases, and where necessary facilitates international law enforcement agencies to take action. Threat Matrix has become a global leader in the space with clients spanning global football and rugby bodies, tennis tours and Grand Slam events, International Federations and athlete unions.

IGNITX, renowned for its expertise in delivering major sports events, extends its commitment to safeguarding through this partnership with Signify. The collaboration aligns seamlessly with IGNITX's broader efforts, encompassing education, awareness, and governance implementation within sports organizations. IGNITX is a member of the Building European Safe Sports Together (BESST) project which aims to enhance safeguarding across the European Sports family. The BESST project is funded by the EU Erasmus Plus Program.

"At IGNITX, our commitment to safeguarding is ingrained in our mission to create a safe and accountable sports environment. Partnering with Signify allows us to strengthen our efforts, bringing cutting-edge technology such as Threat Matrix to the forefront of our comprehensive approach to safeguarding." said Gustavo Harada, Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer at IGNITX.

The collaboration aims to promote new industry standards for safeguarding in sports, demonstrating the power of innovative technology and collective dedication to athlete well-being.

Jonathan Hirshler, CEO of Signify Group, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, "We look forward to our collaboration with IGNITX and to advancing safeguarding initiatives across the sports industry in a way that ensures athlete welfare is placed at the heart of major event thinking.”

As IGNITX and Signify join forces, they aspire to lead the way in championing a new era of safeguarding excellence within sports. In the recent IGNITX Summit organised in December 2023, IGNITX and Signify organised a dedicated webinar on Safeguarding in Sports. The webinar featured Jonathan Hirshler, CEO of Signify Group, Joanna Maranhão, a 4x Brazilian Olympian and Prof. Dr. Nicolette Schipper-van Veldhoven, a researcher at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences and a member of the BESST (Building European Safe Sport Together) Project.
